Butterflies

Well, that was a wasted few days. Been learning how to animate and this is my very first attempt at hand animation... Wish I could work out why there's cracking in the audio. Not much else to say but it needs work...

  2. Hardly that but I'm really glad you like it. If I had time, I'd spend a week cleaning it up and fixing some of the faces, especially those in quarter view and profile. However, my fingers are now really sore... ;)

  3. I'm grateful. I'd never be able to draw one without it looking like a walrus.

  4. gotta say I love animating with children - often get crackles with the microphone issues - often it's a sound tinkering issue with vloumes, closeness of mic to computer, quality of mic etc - any number of reasons....most peeps don;t care bout crackles with animating coz we know how long it takes to DO the animation and create it in the first place - don't be so hard on yourself, love the animating and wasn't bothered by crackles...dig the humour!!!!

  5. Thanks Cheesy. 'Animating with children'? Do you mean you use them in a stop-motion context or enjoy teaching them to animate? The former sounds innovative and worthy of the British Arts Council grant.

Yes, I guess it's the small things that annoy. I think the sound problems have something to do with my messing around with the frame rate. I originally started to animate this at the full 24fps and then realised it would be quicker to drop it down to 4fps. I think it probably messed up the soundtrack.

LOL. Somebody mentioned that I don't spend enough time on these things. That animation took me about 5 or 6 hours, though still far too long and not exactly what I envisaged when I reopened this blog to post my 'hastily doodled' cartoons. ;)
